Then join us and help maintain the nursery. Lalibela Agro-Plantation-Site might be a good choice for a gap year if you are looking for some environmental work. You don´t need to stay for a whole year of course, the duration of your stay is entirely up to you.
You will be planting trees, watering the plants and maintaining the area. Share the experience of Ethiopian daily life, meet locals, and discover Ethiopian culture at it´s best, as you would never be able to do as a "normal" tourist.
You will be accomodated either by a local host family or in a campsite. Costs for accommodation (room and breakfast) amounts to 20.-$/day. One of our Ethiopian staff member will take care of you and assist you if you need any further advice for other things.
